We independently review betting sites. Sign-ups through our links may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you, this never influences our listings’ order.

The final day of the Premier League season is here and it will be Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City or Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal lifting the famous trophy come Sunday evening. BettingSites have ranked both teams in terms of attractiveness to see who is the better looking squad.

We used AI software to determine who is the most handsome team in the Premier League title showdown on the final day of the 2023/24 season – Manchester City or Arsenal?

  • Arsenal more attractive than Manchester City by 4.37 points (Arsenal – 113.65, City – 109.28)
  • Declan Rice (8.38) most attractive Arsenal player, Mateo Kovacic (8.21) best looking Man City player according to AI
  • AI rank Jeremy Doku (5.70) as least attractive City player, Takehiro Tomiyasu (5.67) least attractive Arsenal player

Arsenal Squad Win Premier League Good Looks Title Ahead Of Manchester City

Manchester City just need to beat West Ham at the Etihad Stadium to win a fourth consecutive Premier League title. Arsenal must beat Everton and hope City fail to win and then they will be crowned champions for the first time since 2004 – 20 years ago.

Although they currently trail the Premier League pacesetters by two points with just one game to go, Arsenal have well and truly pushed Manchester City all the way. They look like they are just going to come up short in the Premier League title race, but not in the attractiveness title.

According to AI based on 16 players from each squad, Arsenal players are collectively more attractive than that of Manchester City. Although Mikel Arteta might have to settle for second place in the Premier League, at least he can say his team are better looking than that of Pep Guardiola’s side.

Arsenal More Attractive Than Man City by 4.37 points (Arsenal – 113.65, City – 109.28)

Using AI attractiveness test software, Arsenal are a more handsome group of footballers than that of Man City as a whole. The Gunners recorded a collective score of 113.65 out of a possible 160.00 points, whilst City trailed the north Londoners by 4.37 points with a score of 109.28.

Players such as Declan Rice, Gabriel Martinelli, Jorginho and Ben White have helped the Gunners pip Pep’s Man City to the Premier League attractive title. Influential players such as Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and David Raya have been sensational on the pitch for Arsenal, but aren’t rated as highly as some of their teammates in terms of looks.

For City, their main men Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne aren’t seen as two of the more attractive players from their squad, according to AI. It’s no surprise to see the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol and Jack Grealish amongst the most handsome footballers at the Etihad Stadium based side.

Although it looks like the Premier League trophy will be heading to the Etihad for a fourth successive season, it’s Arsenal and Mikel Arteta who have bragging rights in terms of attractiveness and good looks, according to AI.

Lee Astley, Head of News at BettingSites commented on the data, saying:

“Are we surprised to learn that the Arsenal squad is better looking than Manchester City’s? Not at all. Players like Declan Rice, Jorginho, Gabriel Martinelli and Ben White aren’t just great footballers, but they’re evidently good looking guys too as AI confirms.

“It seems the AI software hasn’t been too kind to the likes of Erling Haaland, Ederson, Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri from a City perspective. No surprise to see Jack Grealish, Josko Gvardiol, Ruben Dias and Mateo Kovacic as the three most attractive players for the Sky Blues.

“Although Man City are firmly in the driving seat to win their fourth Premier League in a row, they don’t take the gold medal in terms of looks. That mantle belongs to Arsenal.”

AI Attractiveness Software Methodology

The software itself works by using state-of-the-art computer vision and Deep Learning algorithms to calculate the attractiveness score out of 10.00.

In other words, the site tries to imitate how humans would rate attractiveness. It uses machine learning and computer vision algorithms to calculate attractiveness scores from images.

We have compiled a list of 16 players from both teams and used AI software to give each player a rating out of 10.00. Thus, each squad has a combined rating out of a maximum score of 160.
