German third division football club Arminia Bielefeld, along with its official gambling partner – the Gauselmann Group, held a sponsored poker night with a whole host of current and former players.
Representatives of Arminia Bielefeld Football Club of the 3. Liga in Germany, as well as members of its official gambling partner, the Gauselmann Group, took part in a poker event to raise money for charity.
Arminia Bielefeld were in the Bundesliga, the German top flight, as recently as 2022, and have held a long-standing partnership with the Gauselmann Group as their official gambling partner.
The event was named the ‘DSC Casino Night’, and was held at the Gauselmann Group’s very own Merkur Casino Bad Oeynhausen in Germany, where over 90 players took part in the evening.
Mike Ibsch, a representative of statutory health insurance fund BKK Gildemeister Seidensticker was the evening’s overall winner, and received a cheque for €1,905, representing the year that Arminia Bielefeld was founded.
All profits from the event will be donated to Horizontas, which is an organisation that provides grief counselling to children, young adults, and their families.

Bielefeld currently occupy 11th place in the 3. Liga, and suffered back-to-back relegations after dropping down from the top flight during the 2021/22 season.
