Championship side Blackburn Rovers FC has announced a new sponsorship with UK-based sports betting site Spreadex in which the company has been named as the club’s official UK betting partner.

British sports betting site Spreadex has been officially announced as the new UK betting partner of football club Blackburn Rovers.

Nicknamed ‘The Riversiders’, Blackburn currently play in the second tier of English football; the ‘Championship’ – where they finished 7th last season, just one spot shy of the play-offs which would hand them the opportunity to be promoted to the Premier League.

The deal signed ahead of the new 2023/24 campaign will see Spreadex support the club, whilst Blackburn will promote the operator’s brand throughout the season.

Spreadex’s logo and branding will feature on advertisement hoardings in the Jack Walker Stand as well as on the digital advertising boards at Ewood Park as part of the agreement.

Speaking after securing the sponsorship, Blackburn’s CEO Steve Waggott welcomed the betting site to their wide range of partners ahead of the new season.

“Award-winning, Spreadex will join a range of other new partners for the forthcoming season and we are looking forward to working with their team to further develop and strengthen our partnership over the coming months.”

Spreadex’s head of marketing Andy MacKenzie also spoke on the deal, expressing their delight at being able to play a part in the Rovers’ journey going forward.

“We’re delighted to be part of Rovers’ journey moving forwards and are already planning a series of competitions and content to keep Rovers fans engaged via our social channels, plus looking at ways to help support local club community initiatives.”

MacKenzie also noted that Spreadex’s team has several Rovers enthusiasts, adding to their excitement of being able to call the club an official partner.
