The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) and Flutter Entertainment-owned FanDuel Group have reached an agreement to extend their mult-year partnership.
FanDuel and the Women’s Tennis Association Extend Their Partnership
The new-extended aggrement will see FanDuel remain as an authorised gaming operator for the WTA Tour in North, South and Central America.
WTA trademarks and scoring data through WTA official data supplier Stats Perform will also remain accessible for the FanDuel group.
FanDuel will continue to promote responsible gambling, whilst also promoting the availability of prevention, treatment and recovery resources.
“This partnership has given us the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with the WTA to develop new, exciting products,” FanDuel’s vice president of strategic partnerships Clifton Ma said.
“These have increased engagement and excitement for women’s tennis.
“FanDuel is committed to supporting women in sports. This partnership has been a key pillar of that commitment. We’ve worked with the WTA to celebrate key women’s initiatives through unique storytelling opportunities.”
The Women’s Tennis Association President Micky Lawler also had his say on the extension of the partnership.
“Our extension with FanDuel represents the WTA’s ongoing commitment to innovation.” Lawlor said.
“As we continue to diversify how fans consume and engage with sports, we’re pleased to have a gaming operator who not only shares our vision to strengthen the exposure of women’s tennis but who is dedicated to developing responsible gambling standards and practices that allow fans to do so in a fun and safe way.”
FanDuel have also recently struck a deal with the Canadian Football League (CFL), becoming the league’s first authorised gaming operator and official sports betting partner.
