With the FedEx Cup play-offs beginning this week on the PGA Tour, popular US sportsbook FanDuel have announce they plan to integrate IMG Arena’s Golf Event Centre into their sports betting site. This will mean customers can place in-play bets on live markets during PGA Tour events.

FanDuel To Introduce In-Play Live Golf Betting On PGA Tour Events

Popular US sports betting site FanDuel have signed a deal with IMG Arena to integrate its Golf Event Centre into their sportsbook from Thursday 10th August.

The FedEx St. Jude Championship begins on Thursday from TPC Southwind in what is the first play-off event of the FedEx Cup on the PGA Tour. There is a $20 million prize pot up for grabs between the 70 players who will be teeing it up Memphis, Tennessee this week.

The new in-play live golf betting will provide fans with live betting markets on golf tournaments, including closest-to-the-pin, longest drive and number of birdies amongst several other markets.

On top of this, the Golf Event Centre will also have a range of data visualisations for fans, such as the ability to track each shot, as well as course maps and in-depth hole guides. Furthermore, there will be a live leaderboard that updates throughout the tournament, providing customised information on each golfer.

FanDuel Group President, Christian Genetski, had this to say on the new live markets for PGA Tour golf betting through IGM Arena’s Golf Event Centre:

“As an Official Betting Operator of the PGA Tour, we’re continually looking for innovative ways to elevate the golf betting experience on our platform for fans during their favourite tournaments.

“By integrating IMG Arena’s Golf Event Centre into our sportsbook platform, we can offer fans access to a robust catalogue of live markets that will give them new ways to engage with the sport on every hole.”

The Golf Event Centre launches on the FanDuel sportsbook on Thursday, just in time for the beginning of the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

Brian Clayton, IMG Arena VP of Sales Americas, said:

“Our Golf Event Centre is an industry-first product that enables interactive in-play betting on golf for the first time, bringing a new dimension to the golf experience for fans around the world.

“Now FanDuel customers can enjoy its immersive data-visualization features during the PGA Tour’s world-class tournaments, and benefit from unique markets to enjoy every shot, hole and player.”
