Eric Cantona Announced As New William Hill Brand Ambassador
Football legend and Manchester United icon, Eric Cantona, has been unveiled as the new official brand ambassador of sports betting company William Hill.
Cantona will become William Hill’s brand ambassador for the next two years and be a part of the UK bookies new above-the-line campaign.
The Man Utd icon will be the face of William Hill’s new marketing and advertising campaign called “Who You Got?”, ahead of the 2023/24 football season.
With Cantona being the UK bookies new official brand ambassador, the Frenchman will be at the forefront of William Hill’s new above-the-line (ATL) campaign for the next two years. This includes online, digital and social advertising across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Furthermore, adverts with Eric Cantona will be displayed in several of William Hill’s premier out-of-home locations in the UK & Ireland.
The campaign, which launched on August 2nd, will include a variety of marketing strategies to create buzz around sports events and increase engagement with the brand’s items throughout the season. By using a creative intended to start football conversations in both betting and non-betting contexts, the campaigns add another element to their ‘Brotherhood’ brand position.
Managing Director of William Hill in the UK & Ireland, Alexis Zamboglou, had this to say on the new partnership between Eric Cantona and the sports betting company:
“The start of the new football season is a huge moment in the country’s sporting calendar, with demand at its peak and hopes and dreams alive as fans and punters alike begin to engross themselves with the most popular sport in the UK and Ireland all over again.
“To meet this immense demand, we are making a real splash with our new football season campaign, ‘Who You Got?’, which will be headed by one of the footballing greats in Eric Cantona.”
