Championship club Leeds United have announced a new partnership with Unibet that will see the brand become the club’s brand new training wear partner from the start of the upcoming season.
Ahead of their return to the English second tier, football club Leeds United has announced a new partnership with Unibet. The partnership will see the betting site become the Yorkshire club’s new official training wear partner from the beginning of the 2023/24 season.
Leeds were previously sponsored by 32Red, who, like Unibet, is owned by the Kindred Group.
The Unibet logo and branding will feature on the training wear of the men’s first team players and coaching staff, as well as the women’s first team.
Last season Leeds were relegated from the English Premier League, and will now play in the second division – the ‘Championship’.
Gambling sponsors for football clubs have been a hot topic of discussion in recent months, with the Premier League voting to ban such companies from being front-of-shirt sponsors from the start of the 2026/27 campaign.
Kindred UK’s Head of Marketing Sam Mead had his say on the new partnership formed with Leeds United.
“We are delighted to be linking up with Leeds United once again through this new partnership. Our model of sponsorship provides benefits to both clubs and their communities – something we will drive forward throughout the season.”
Leeds’ Executive Director Paul Bell also commented on the partnership.
“We are pleased to welcome Unibet as our new Official Training Wear Partner. We have previously enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the Kindred Group through their 32Red brand who were on the Front of Shirt when we were promoted as Championship Champions at the end of the 2019-20 season.”
