Check out some of the early Grand National non runners 2024 after the latest round of scratchings took place on Tuesday, leaving just 58 horses.
Grand National Non Runners 2024: Hewick Among Those Scratched
In total, 17 horses were withdrawn from the Grand National on Tuesday at the latest scratching phase, including King George hero Hewick and former favourite Monbeg Genius.
As well as several Irish runners scratched, there have been even more British-trained horses withdrawn from the race, leaving a potential five left. That would mean if all 34 go to post, then 29 will be trained in Ireland.

Jonjo O’Neill’s Monbeg Genius was well fancied for the Aintree showdown a few months ago, but a couple of disappointing runs so far in 2024 have led to his scratching.
He, alongside original top weight Hewick, Asterion Forlonge, Threeunderthrufive, Letsbeclearaboutit and James Du Berlais were certain to get a place in the field.
With Hewick now heading towards the Aintree Bowl at the same meeting, Gordon Elliott’s Conflated is the new top weight. He was last seen running a solid third in the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.
Of those remaining, Corach Rambler is the current favourite after a gutsy third in the Gold Cup when seen last. He won the Grand National last year and runs off a revised mark of 159 (146 last year). Lucinda Russell’s charge is fancied to do well again this time around, but he is fairly short in what is an expected field of 34.
