Richard Flint, former Sky Betting and Gaming CEO is not interested in the Entain role as CEO – expressing an extreme lack of intrigue.
Former Sky Betting and Gaming CEO Not Interested In Entain Role
Flint revealed in a recent interview on Sky News that the opportunity to become CEO at Entain does not interest him and he would rather maintain his place as Chairman of the dog food subscription company, Butternut Box and his role at hospitality site, Seat Unique.
The former Sky Betting and Gaming CEO confirmed in January that he would not be running in the election for a Non-Executive Director at Flutter Entertainment.
He also announced the news that he would be leaving from the directors board, after a discussion at the annual general meeting.
Recently curated odds disagree with Flint’s statements, however, he has revealed in this interview that people should ignore the bookmakers.
He said: “Ignore what other bookmakers might say or the odds they might put out there – I am very much enjoying the package of things I’ve got on at the moment.”
After Jette Nygaarf-Andersen left the role of CEO in December 2023 and Entain has been on the search for a new leader ever since – hiring Stella David on an interim basis.
The interim CEO will not be occupying the role on a full time basis and will be replace Barry Gibson as the Chairman at Entain instead – after he confirmed his retirement in early April.
His retirement will commence during September this year and could even be relieved of his duties at an earlier stage. This will rely on the swiftness in which Entain hires a new CEO and the search is said to be “ongoing and is progressing well”.
Entain has been subject to huge shifts around the board in 2024 and Grainne Hurst, Entain’s Group Corporate Affairs Director, will switch roles and become the CEO of the Betting and Gaming Council.
