William Hill has displayed an eye-catching 3D projection in Liverpool ahead of the Grand National, showing on the St Johns Beacon landmark.

The iconic landmark located in Merseyside is 475ft tall and the designed projection showcases the Grand National story and some of the most legendary people from the event.
infamous fences, icons from the race and historic events from the Grand National all feature with some traditional commentary in the background.
It was firs shown on Wednesday 10th April and will be available to see on the following Thursday and Friday evenings, as people prepare for the race on Saturday.
Not only is it open for physical viewing, those registered on William Hill can see it on the app but also on its various social medias – supported by brand ambassadors like Barry Geraghty, Sir AP McCoy, Lucinda Rusell, Leonna Mayor and many more.
Iconic jockey, Sir AP McCoy, has praised William Hill for the efforts put into making such a advertisement and believes it captures the spectacle perfectly.
He said: “Winning the Grand National is any jockey’s dream and I was very lucky to do that in 2010 on Don’t Push It. I’ve seen re-runs of the race over the years, but never like this.
“William Hill has done an amazing job capturing the spectacle that the Grand National is and what it means to the city of Liverpool. It’s a brilliant visual and it really builds anticipation for this year’s race.”
Mark Walton, William Hill’s Racing Sponsorship manager, has also praised the show put up in Liverpool and how it encapsulates the uniqueness of the Grand National.

More than 50 MPs in the UK Parliament have been involved with a charity event created by the Betting and Gaming Council, as each member places a bet on the race and all the money is put towards this charity.
