British bookmaker William Hill has been announced as the sponsor for the Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster Racecourse on March 23. They are set to sponsor the entire seven-card race.
Saturday’s feature will see 22 entries all gunning for glory in the one-mile handicap in South Yorkshire. The current favourite is 4/1 shot Liberty Lane.
This weekend’s extravaganza is the first time since 2015 that William Hill has sponsored the Lincoln Handicap. Other notable races include the Cammidge Trophy, Brocklesby Stakes and Spring Mile.
William Hill Sponsors The Lincoln Handicap
Head of Broadcast and PR at William Hill, Lee Phelps said: “The Lincoln is a race deep in history that always attracts a high-quality, competitive field, so we’re delighted to be sponsoring it again.
“The dust has only just settled on the Cheltenham Festival, but with the William Hill Lincoln kicking off the new British Flat season on Saturday, and the Grand National Festival, a meeting we are the official betting partner of, only a few weeks away, it’s a very important and busy time for us.
“We’ll be celebrating our new sponsorship by offering enhanced place terms on the William Hill Lincoln, which hopefully offers customers plenty of value,” Phelps added.
Hill’s are also the official betting partner of the Randox Grand National. They signed a three-year deal at the beginning of 2023. The operator continues to ramp up their presence in British horse racing.
This year, they will also sponsor the Cheltenham October meeting. The Grade 1 Formby Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree and the Grade 1 Punchestown Champion Chase are also included.
Saturday’s action gets underway at 1:20pm with the William Hill Doncaster Mile Stakes. The William Hill EBF Brocklesby Stakes, William Hill Epic Boost Spring Mile and William Hill Cammidge Trophy Stakes all follow before the Lincoln.
