Top Bookmakers with Cheltenham Offers Reviewed

You probably want to know a little bit more about our recommended horse racing betting sites and what they provide in terms of promotions for the Cheltenham Festival. That’s why we asked our experts to conduct detailed reviews of the top five. Read on for an in-depth look at Cheltenham betting offers available right now:

1. Spreadex Cheltenham Festival Offers – 2nd to a Rag Insurance Promo

Spreadex Cheltenham betting offers include 2nd to a Rag Insurance

Besides offering regular fixed odds wagers and spread betting on Cheltenham, Spreadex have their 2nd to a Rag Insurance deal. The concept here is if your selection finishes second to a 33/1+ outsider in any race, you get your money back as a free bet up to £25. This applies to your first fixed odds win singles bet on a Festival event only. Ante post and each way wagers don’t count, and neither do multiples

As Cheltenham betting offers for existing customers go, this is a great promotion with a decent max stake. Spreadex support this with 16 ante post markets on the Festival, access to free live streaming for every race at the meeting and a First Past the Post payout policy. They will also settle any Cheltenham racing bets where an Amended Result applies following a stewards’ enquiry.

What we like:

  • 2nd to a Rag Insurance promotion
  • Bet on 16 Festival races ante post
  • Live stream all of Cheltenham free
  • Pays First Past the Post & Amended Results
  • Spread bets available during meeting

What we don’t:

  • BOG doesn’t apply to fixed odds bets
  • Spread bet losses can exceed deposit

2. 888sport Cheltenham Offers – Non-Runner No Bet on All Festival Races

888sport Cheltenham betting offers included Non-Runner No Bet on all Festival races

Usually speaking, Non-Runner No Bet terms aren’t available until after final declarations. 888sport have decided to offer this on their ante post Cheltenham Festival betting across all races several weeks out from the meeting. Bet on any horse listed in any of the 28 races and, if it doesn’t run, you receive your stake back in full as cash.

This is only one of several Cheltenham betting offers available with 888sport as they also have the Each Way+ promotion. This creates Extra Place Races (although not ante post) and enhanced place terms for punters. Also paying out on Double Results, 888sport have Best Odds Guaranteed on all Festival races from the day of the races.

There’s even a £5 free bet awarded to punters that back a 4/1 Winner or bigger once per day. The fact that there are multiple bookmaker Cheltenham offers available at 888sport shows how seriously they take both the Festival and horse racing in general. You can bet on every single Cheltenham race ante post, then watch live streams for free as well.

What we like:

  • Non-Runner No Bet on all Festival races
  • Total ante post Cheltenham coverage
  • 4/1+ Winner offer available once per day
  • BOG on day & pays out on Double Result
  • Each Way+ promotion gives extra places

What we don’t:

  • Acca Club doesn’t include horses
  • No extra places on ante post bets

3. QuinnBet Cheltenham Betting Offers – Fallers Insurance & Fail to Finish Deals

QuinnBet Cheltenham betting offers include Fallers Insurance and Fail To Finish

Many of the best Cheltenham offers existing customers can get are over on QuinnBet. The more unique ones available with them are their Fallers Insurance and Fail to Finish promotions. These offer money back as a free bet up to £10 in selected races with a minimum of six runners if your horse falls, or fails to finish for any reason depending on the deal.

On top of this, QuinnBet have BOG on the day of Festival races from 9am and Extra Place Races available nearer the time. There are plenty more money back as a free bet Cheltenham offers too including Beaten by a Head or Less and if your horse finishes 2nd (or 3rd or even 4th) to the favourite.

An Acca Bonus can apply to qualifying Festival accumulators at QuinnBet, while there are 19 ante post markets available in advance. The five open championship races have NRNB terms already, so you’ll get your stake back in full as cash if the horses you back in those events don’t run. As QuinnBet also give access to Cheltenham live streaming for free, they’ve got so much to offer.

What we like:

  • Fallers Insurance & Fail To Finish offers
  • Acca Bonus, BOG & Extra Place Races
  • Ante post betting on 19 Festival races
  • Money Back as a Free Bet deals galore
  • NRNB on 5 championship events

What we don’t:

  • Future races Cheltenham section untidy

4. Grosvenor Cheltenham Festival Offers – Cash Back if 2nd to the SP Favourite

Grosvenor Cheltenham betting offers include Cash Back if 2nd to the SP Favourite

At Grosvenor, they go beyond offering punters money back as a free bet but give you a full cash refund if your horse finishes second to the SP favourite at selected race meetings including Cheltenham. The maximum Cash Back awarded on losing stakes is £20 with this deal. Your first real money win single or each way bet on the race applies and there’s a minimum bet of £5.

This has to be one of the best Cheltenham betting offers out there as Grosvenor go beyond their competitors and don’t just give a bonus but complete cashback. They also have BOG from 9am on the day of Festival races, a deal which is in line with their rivals. Regular punters who bet £25 in qualifying wagers every week qualify for a £5 free bet through the Grosvenor Sport Club.

With 19 Cheltenham Festival races to bet on ante post in a dedicated Future Races tab, and six of those covered by NRNB well in advance of the meeting, there’s lots for bettors to get stuck into here. Grosvenor would benefit from adding some Extra Place Races to its portfolio of promotions available in advance, but do offer free live streaming on all the action.

What we like:

  • Cash Back if 2nd to SP Favourite promo
  • 19 Cheltenham events available ante post
  • 6 Festival races have NRNB terms already
  • BOG applies from 9am on day of races
  • Grosvenor Sport Club deal for free bet

What we don’t:

  • No Extra Places available ante post

5. BoyleSports Cheltenham Offers – Extra Place Races Every Day

BoyleSports Cheltenham betting offers include Extra Place Races

Extra Place Races are something that BoyleSports do really well and, when it comes to the big field handicaps at the Cheltenham Festival, you may even have sixth or seventh spot paid out on each way bets. Their rules state 20 or more runners must run to get sixth covered. For seventh place, it’s 22 or more horses running.

BoyleSports run an Acca Loyalty promotion that covers hose racing and by extension the Festival. If you place five qualifying accumulators in a week, then you get a £5 free bet towards another one. Cheltenham betting offers also include BOG from 8am on the day, but it’s worth noting BoyleSports used to have this come into effect earlier than they do now.

A full suite of ante post Cheltenham betting odds are available with the five open championship races receiving the NRNB treatment well ahead of the Festival. Live streaming the meeting is also completely free for punters when logged in to BoyleSports, so this Irish bookie is well-stocked in terms of deals.

What we like:

  • Extra Place Races every day of Festival
  • Acca Loyalty deal for Cheltenham accas
  • BOG applies from after 8am on race days
  • Money Back as a Free Bet if 2nd to SP Fav
  • NRNB on all championship races early

What we don’t:

  • No Extra Place Races in advance

What to Look Out for in the Best Cheltenham Betting Offers

  1. Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG)

The value of Best Odds Guaranteed should never be lost on punters. Unlike other existing customer Cheltenham offers around today, this one can increase your potential winnings. BOG means you can back a horse earlier in the day and still get the Starting Price if that’s bigger. Nobody does Best Odds Guaranteed better than bet365, who offer it on all ante post bets for the Festival as well as from final declarations on all UK and Irish horse races.
  2. Bet Types Covered

As you may have spotted in our reviews, promotions don’t always apply to every horse racing wager you can place. Some deals are win only, others cover the win part of each way, while accumulators may have their own separate Cheltenham betting offers that we’ll touch on later. Knowing which wagers do and don’t qualify is essential.
  3. Cash Out

There may be times when you’ve gone cold about a horse you’ve backed for the Festival. Whether it’s other runners it beat letting the form down, or the emergence of a talented new rival, having the option to end a bet early is something you should be open to as a punter. The best betting sites for Cheltenham offers will have Cash Out as an option. You can either call it quits on the wager as a whole or do a partial cash out and reduce the stake gambled.
  4. Extra Places

It’s a simple enough concept but worth repeating. The more places that any each way bets pay out on, the better. Extra Place Races are a great incentive to have  a flutter on the most competitive races at the Festival. BoyleSports offer six and even seven places sometimes when you bet on Cheltenham racing each way with them.
  5. Live Streaming

It’s nice to be able to watch any horse that you bet on run in a race. When it comes to the Cheltenham Festival, though, there should be free access to live streams of all the action on the track. The best sites all open that up to punters so they can enjoy the biggest meeting of the National Hunt season.
  6. Non-Runner No Bet (NRNB)

Without question one of the best Cheltenham betting offers for existing customers today, Non-Runner No Bet gives you your money back as cash in full if the horse you bet on doesn’t run in that particular Festival race. That gives punters peace of mind. Either you get a run for your money or a total refund. Our experts can recommend 888sport here as they are NRNB on every single race at the meeting.

Top Cheltenham Free Bet Offers

The most popular free bet Cheltenham offers from the bookies are ones aimed at drumming up fresh business. These aren’t the only way to get your hands on some bonus tokens, though, but we’ll deal with betting offers and promotions for existing customers separately in a moment. Let’s take a look at the best Cheltenham offers for new customers first. Just remember that there are other chances for those seeking free bets, so it isn’t all about signing up.

New Customer Cheltenham Offers

Welcome bonuses remain an attract prospect for both the bookies and punters alike. Cheltenham betting offers for new customers serve an important purpose in bringing in extra business with the Festival an obvious highlight in the annual sporting calendar to target. There are three main types of online betting Cheltenham offers aimed at new customers today:

  • Bet & Get – These deals require you to place a qualifying wager to unlock the bonus. At 888sport, for example, you must bet £10 at minimum odds of 1.2 (1.50) to receive £30 in free bets, plus a £10 casino bonus, and that’s their sign up offer.
  • Enhanced Odds – Price boosts are widely available every day when bookies want to push certain bets, but are still on occasion offered as a deal for new customers. The bet is enhanced, meaning you win more, but probably has a smaller max stake attached to it. Sign up to Grosvenor and get the Double the Odds for your first bet.
  • First Deposit Bonus – Sometimes, a qualifying deposit is enough to unlock bonuses but it’s more common with casino deals than Cheltenham betting offers for new customers. You need to be careful with the payment method you use with these promotions as a result. 10bet provides a 50% first deposit bonus up to £50 for sports betting.

Cheltenham Betting Offers for Existing Customers

Bookmaker Cheltenham offers available these days cannot afford to ignore the wider betting public. It’s not just about new punters but existing customers who already have accounts as well. The need to cater for everyone betting on the Festival has resulted in a range of deals becoming available. These are the best Cheltenham offers for existing customers around right now:

Accumulator Bonuses

Getting Acca Insurance for horse racing bets is difficult these days, but the bookies may reward punters that place such multiples (and combination and system bets) instead. The likes of Betfred and 10bet pay additional winnings on top of your return if you pull these wagers off. With the latter, you could have up to £5,000 extra in cash.

Extra Place Races

If there’s one thing our experts should’ve sold you on reading this page, then it’s the virtues of Extra Place Races. They open up new avenues for each way betting as an additional finishing spot paid out by the bookies gives you a greater chance of getting a return.

This is one of the essential Cheltenham betting offers punters need on the Festival, especially for those big field handicaps. Both BoyleSports and Betfred are great options for Extra Place Races with the latter paying five places ante post on events that attract the most runners.

Free Bet Clubs

One of the Cheltenham free bet offers that you can make work for you before the Festival if you’re a regular punters, these Clubs reward loyalty. If you place so many qualifying wagers or up to a set amount each week, then you get a bonus token to use the following week. Grosvenor have their Sport Club which issues you with a £5 free bet if you stake £25 in the qualifying period.

Money Back Cheltenham Offers

You may see these deals as risk-free bets, but they must meet certain conditions. Betting sites with Cheltenham offers come up with all kinds of scenarios where they might refund losing stakes with a bonus. QuinnBet embraces a wide range of these from being Beaten by a Head or Less to when horses fail to finish or fall, and even finished 2nd (or 3rd or even 4th) to the SP favourite.

NRNB & BOG

Recapping NRNB and BOG deals here is important. If possible you want to guarantee a run for your money, and some bookies provide this in advance. Your Cheltenham best bet in the ante post market is getting NRNB terms covering your wagers. Only one bookmaker in the industry today offers that alongside BOG for the Festival so early, and that’s bet365 who will pay out at SP if that’s bigger than the odds you took.

Best Cheltenham Festival Offers on Special Markets

Traditional Cheltenham betting offers like those described above are fantastic, but there are also special markets unique to the Festival that you may want to consider. Punters need qualifying bets to unlock some of the bonuses our experts describe and these could help you do that:

  • Prestbury Cup – Betting on which country will have the most Cheltenham Festival winners. Choose between the UK and Ireland with the latter boasting a dominant recent record.
  • Top Cheltenham Festival Jockey – A market on which jockey will ride the most winners at the meeting. In the event of a tie, the number of seconds (and thirds) will be taken into account rather than Dead Heat rules applying.
  • Top Cheltenham Festival Trainer – You can also wager on the trainer who saddles the most winners during the meeting. As with the top jockey market, placed horses will be used as a tiebreaker.
  • To Win a Race at the Cheltenham Festival – Before a horse’s target is confirmed, there is a way to manoeuvre around the minefield that is ante post betting. That is to wager on them winning any race at Cheltenham. You may end up taking shorter odds, but it’s another way of reducing the risk if NRNB isn’t available.

Live Streaming & Cheltenham Festival Betting

All the free bet and money back Cheltenham offers in the world are all well and good, but if you can’t watch the horses you’ve backed running at the Festival, then the bookie you wager with has let you down. Thankfully, all of our recommended online bookmakers provide live streaming of the biggest National Hunt racing meeting of the year.

Many of them don’t even require a qualifying bet to access these. All you need to do unlock Cheltenham live streams is to log in and have a funded account, essentially a positive account balance, or have placed a bet within the last 24 hours. When it comes to live streaming of the Cheltenham Festival, Spreadex earn our experts’ recommendation.

Cheltenham Ante Post Betting Pros & Cons

Deciding when to bet on Cheltenham racing is a conundrum that all punters wrestle with. There are arguments both for and against going in to the ante post markets. For all the upsides to it, there are some drawbacks as well. Balancing these conflicting elements lies at the heart of gambling major sporting events. These are the pluses and minuses of ante post betting on the Cheltenham Festival:

Pros:

  • Bigger odds equal greater profits
  • Considerable chance of beating SP
  • Rule 4 deductions cannot apply
  • Some bookies go NRNB early

Cons:

  • BOG doesn’t apply to ante post wagers
  • Cheltenham betting offers not available
  • Extra Places rarely available in advance
  • You might not get a run for your money

Friday – Cheltenham Gold Cup Day

Reaching its crescendo with the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the entire meeting builds to the blue riband event of steeplechasing. Friday’s card kicks off with the Triumph Hurdle for four-year-olds, then the County Hurdle acts as another of the wide-open handicaps. The Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle provides a stern test of stamina, and later on amateur and conditional jockeys have their own races in the Hunter Chase and Martin Pipe respectively. Every Cheltenham Festival closes with the latter now, but there’s also the newest race of the meeting, a Grade 2 chase for mares, on the final day. Review everything that happens on day four right in this table:

Cheltenham Gold Cup Betting Offers

It’s only natural that the best Cheltenham betting offers should apply to the biggest races at the Festival. Events at this major meeting don’t come any bigger than the Cheltenham Gold Cup itself. As the first steeplechase race on the fourth and final day of the Festival, the entire week is built around the blue riband event of National Hunt horse racing.

If the bookies have any sense, then they’re bound to tailor the best existing customer Cheltenham offers to the Gold Cup. Provided there are enough runners in the feature race, perhaps 12 or more looking at previous recent renewals, then Extra Places should be available. That’s the most obvious deal connected to the Cheltenham Gold Cup. If you’re betting ante post, then ideally NRNB terms should apply too.

Others to look out for are money back Cheltenham offers if the SP favourite obliges or BOG from a set time on the day of the big race. As noted above, you should be able to live stream all Festival events including the Gold Cup for free when logged in to a funded account.

Cheltenham Betting Tips

Making Cheltenham betting offers work for you is really important. To that end, we asked our experts for some advice and helpful hints on how punters can do that. Following their tips isn’t prescriptive, though, and there are no guarantees that you’ll get winners. We’re committed to helping you make better decisions when betting on a big event like the Cheltenham Festival, so here’s how you can:

Don’t Be Afraid to Hedge Your Bets

With the highly competitive nature of the races taking place at this meeting, you don’t have to stick to one wager. There’s nothing to stop you from hedging your bets at Cheltenham. Come those Festival handicaps with more than 20 runners, it’s actually a wise strategy. Dutching is a handy system you can use with a stake plan and some basic maths skills you can use to generate similar or the same profit no matter which one of the horses you back wins.

Take Bookies Up on Extra Place Races

We’ve established that Extra Place Races are one of the best Cheltenham offers existing customers can get. They increase the chances that an each wat bet pays out after all. When they’re available, why wouldn’t you make the most of them? While these are only available on arguably the toughest Festival races of all, Extra Places clearly benefit punters. Each way betting whenever it’s possible to do so comes highly recommended and this is an invitation for it.

Use Free Bets to Supplement Ante Post Bets

However you build up free bets, either through loyalty rewards like Free Bet Clubs or other deals, you can use them to your advantage for the Cheltenham Festival as well. They represent a free hit at pure profit, so use them to supplement any ante post bets you’ve had or cover the stake already gambled by backing a rival. This is smart strategy and promotions can help you implement it.

The Last Word on Cheltenham Betting Offers

And that is everything you need to know really. From BOG and NRNB to Extra Places and Money Back as a Free Bet deals, there are some superb promotions available on the Festival. Whichever Cheltenham betting offers appeal to you, responsible gambling while you’re making the most of them is vital.
