Betting Limits
BetMGM doesn’t publish the minimum you can place on one bet, nor the maximum stake. We looked through the terms and conditions on the site for answers – all we found was that they reserve the right to change them.
We placed a few wagers and found that most odds and markets come with a 50p minimum stake. However, this may change if you are placing Lucky 63 bets, Heinz bets, and other combination wagers. Specific BetMGM odds may also determine the minimum and maximum you can bet.
Live Betting
There is a nice live betting feature that opens up all in-play betting opportunities. Whether you’re betting from a computer or the BetMGM mobile app, you’ll find opportunities to bet on football matches, horse racing, cricket, and any other supported sports markets.
The live BetMGM sports selection is very good, with plenty of odds and markets. There is a major emphasis on football, which is evident in the sheer number of bets in this section. In addition to markets for the Champions League and Europa League, we could place bets on obscure championships like the Argentina Reserves League and the Bulgaria Cup.
BetMGM Odds & Live Streaming
We compared betting odds found on the BetMGM sportsbook with our other recommended sites. We concluded that the prices on offer are of good quality – we identified value in some of their horse racing, boxing, and UFC odds. Some of the prices for football were above average, too.
When we finished comparing odds, we went in search of live-streaming opportunities. We found live streaming for UK and Irish horse racing while using both the BetMGM sportsbook app and our laptop. Unfortunately, the site does not yet offer live streams for football and other sports, which is a little disappointing.

We enjoyed reading some of the articles on the BetMGM blog. You can find predictions and picks for upcoming sports events, which is great. They also provide horse tips from racing expert and jockey, Megan Nicholls. Anyone learning how to bet on football may also find this section particularly useful.
Cash Out
Early cash out is allowed on selected sports betting markets. This is a handy extra to have, offering the chance to get something back if you sense your bet is not working out. Cash out markets are identifiable by the BetMGM cash out symbol next to them.
BetMGM Review of Customer Service
Live chat is the best way of contacting the customer support team at BetMGM. You can do this by selecting the gold-coloured speech bubble located in the bottom right of the screen. The live chat function is available 24/7, 365 days a year.
Most betting sites these days prioritise live chat, so we were not surprised to see no BetMGM UK telephone number to contact. So, if you prefer chats with customer service over the phone, this won’t be possible. The only other option for contacting customer support is by emailing [email protected].
Although the customer service options are limited, we were happy using live chat. We spoke to a few different agents about assorted queries – on almost every occasion, we were through in a minute or under. We also made good use of the Help Centre, which is packed with information.
What is the BetMGM App Like?
The BetMGM app is slick and works great on mobile. We tested it on both iPhone and Android devices and were very impressed. It’s very well-designed and provides you with access to sports betting as well as their casino product.
As it was only launched in August 2023, we weren’t too surprised by the minimal BetMGM reviews. At the time of writing, the BetMGM app has 4.8 stars from 545 reviews. On Google Play, it has 4.5 stars and 198 reviews. This is the type of score most of the top sports betting apps have.
Instead of creating a BetMGM sports betting app and one for casino players, everything is accessible under one roof. It certainly made it easier for us to place our bets and then head over to the BetMGM live casino for a bit of roulette or poker. We also enjoyed comparing them against horse racing betting apps.

The site has hundreds of slots and casino games from plenty of games game providers like NetEnt, Playtech, and Evolution Gaming. We liked Microgaming’s Strike Daily Fortune Slot but also liked Bonanza, Great Rhino Megaways, and Pragmatic Play’s Ancient Egypt Classic.
The table game selection is small, featuring a few variants of roulette and blackjack. But 20p Roulette, a firm favourite of ours, was available. We also tried Football Studio First Person by Evolution Gaming, Joker Poker by Play’n GO, and the BetMGM Bonzana, which is exclusive to the site and its betting partners.
BetMGM Poker
The BetMGM poker titles are not multi-player games. This means you can’t join real poker tables on the site, which is something other BetMGM reviews we read did not point out. Instead, you can access casino poker games through your computer or the BetMGM mobile betting app – titles like Live Three Card Poker, which was admittedly fun.
Again, the range of games not included in the live dealer section is not great. Just six poker titles popped up when we searched for that keyword. Other than Joker Poker and Live Three Card Poker, this leaves Live Caribbean Poker, Casino Stud Poker, Live Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker, and Live Bet on Poker. Although these are admittedly fun games, some improvement is needed here.
Live Casino Options
The live dealer online games at BetMGM are excellent. You can find multiple baccarat, blackjack, roulette, and casino poker titles. We found less popular games like Teen Patti, 3 Card Brag, Casino Hold’em Jumbo 7, and 2 Hand Casino Hold’em, too.
The BetMGM live casino is arguably where things shine brightest. In addition to casino classics, there are also multiple game show titles like Funky Time by Evolution and Boom City by Pragmatic Play Live. We enjoyed MGM Exclusives such as BetMGM Roulette and Bellagio Blackjack, too.
Payment Options at BetMGM UK
Banking options are limited to debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers. The minimum deposit across all payment options is £10, with maximum deposits set at £3,000 for Visa and Mastercard and £10,000 for PayPal and bank transfer. No fees are charged for deposits or withdrawals.
We found the lack of options somewhat surprising, given the size of the brand. However, we understand that the site has not been around as long as others in the United Kingdom – perhaps more options will be added when they have settled in.
