Before we put together our CopyBet review, we downloaded the app and signed up for an account. The entire process took us less than five minutes. From inside the app, we read through some terms and conditions of the CopyBet welcome bonus. These are important to get to grips with before you sign up, so we have laid them out in the next section.

CopyBet Free Bet Terms & Conditions

Only UK customers aged 18 or over and residing in the UK can claim the CopyBet free bets. The bet terms and conditions state that you must also download the app and have a verified account to be eligible for this offer.

To qualify for free bets, you must make a minimum deposit of £10 using any of CopyBet’s accepted deposit methods. Punters must then place a single bet of £10 or more on a sports event with odds of 1.5 (1/2) or greater. You will receive 4 x £10 bets 24 hours after your qualifying bet has settled.

Free bets can only be used once at a time – all are valid from 7 days after the point of receipt. The free bet amount is not available for withdrawal, and the stake is not included in any returns made from it. The maximum payout made from all four free bets combined is £500.

The CopyBet horse racing markets are pretty good. Better yet, we noticed many of the CopyBet best tipsters took a keen interest in the sport. You can find odds for UK and Irish races, which is always what we want to see from a bookie in the British market.

Another interesting aspect of our CopyBet review was finding some obscure sports and exotic markets. We added wagers on bandy, futsal, and pistol shooting to our betting slips. When you enter the sportsbook, you’ll find these available in both pre-game and in-play formats.

Why Does CopyBet Use Decimal Odds?

CopyBet offers decimal odds as the site also caters to players outside of the UK. Decimal odds are preferred by players in other countries in and outside Europe, but you can change them from the CopyBet sportsbook settings tab. Hit the cog symbol located just under the betting slip to select your preferred format.

Most online betting sites or betting apps allow you to change your format to American odds, decimal, or fractional. Some CopyBet reviews out there recognise this but fail to mention the additional odds format options on the site. We were happy to see Hong Kong, Malay, and Indo odds formats available to punters.

Changing odds formats will typically have no bearing on value or change the implied probability of a bet. However, if price changes occur between when you have selected fractional and change to decimal, there will be some difference. This will usually lead to a prompt on your CopyBet betting slip, however, and you will have to agree to price changes (if they shorten).

What are the Bet Limits at CopyBet?

The minimum bet amount at CopyBet is £1. Whether you are placing football bets, rugby wagers, or anything else, you cannot wager for less than £1. We confirmed CopyBet’s minimum bet amount by reading their terms of use which were last updated in April 2022.

The same document confirms that the maximum bet amount on the site is £10,000. That applies to all categories, including pre-match and in-play markets. That sounded OK until we read more about the financial limitations, which state that the maximum payout in any category is also £10,000. That’s surprisingly low.

Live Betting at CopyBet

You can find live betting opportunities for horse racing, football leagues, and other in-play and upcoming events. The events that are currently live are displayed in the centre of the CopyBet sportsbook, with priority shown to major events when they are on.

We played around with the live betting function while conducting our CopyBet review, and found it to be decent. While there is nothing particularly groundbreaking about CopyBet’s live betting feature, it complements the social wagering aspect of the site. You can try it with your pre-match or live wagers, whether they are singles or combination bets.

Live Streaming at CopyBet

CopyBet does not have a live streaming function, at the time of writing. If this is a feature you want from a bookie, we recommend comparing the best live streaming betting sites instead.

CopyBet Bet Builder

The bet builder feature at CopyBet allows you to build a customer bet comprised of multiple selections from the same event. You can choose events from a wide variety of both popular sports and niche sports, giving you a greater sense of freedom.

Whether it’s football, tennis, rugby league, or biathlon, the bet builder is worth a shot. We tried the function out by choosing multiple bets for a Premier League match between Arsenal and Tottenham. Extra Features on CopyBet Website

Perhaps the most famous feature of CopyBet is the social platform and chat function, that allows you to follow and subscribe to successful tipsters. You can also become a subscription-based tipster yourself and charge for knowledge and insight into the best betting markets and picks.

The sportsbook is pretty good and you can avail of early cash out on some events. Whether you focus on football, horse racing, or NFL markets, we think you’ll find something to like.

CopyBet Customer Service Options

Options for contacting the customer support team at CopyBet are limited to email ([email protected]). We couldn’t find a CopyBet contact number or a CopyBet live chat feature. This was a little disappointing, to say the least.

The CopyBet email took us much longer to find than it should have. This was arguably worse than spending minute after minute hunting a chat function/chat feature that didn’t exist. You can contact CopyBet by hitting the yellow speech bubble when inside the “Dispute Resolution” tab – however, they use a ZenDesk ticketing service with a 24-hour turnaround time.

No betting site that wants to be taken seriously can afford to have such poor contact options. The site should be able to help when you need it most – offering just an email ticketing system is astonishingly tone-deaf.

If you’re not happy with CopyBet help responses, or any problems that CopyBet customer service can’t solve, the site invites you to take it up with IBAS (the Independent Betting Adjudication Service) instead. We don’t feel this is good enough.

CopyBet App Review

We tried the Copybet betting app on both Android and iPhone devices and found it to be pretty good on both occasions. At the time of writing, it has a rating of 2.3 stars on Google Play and 3.4 stars on the Apple Store. The CopyBet app download time is standard and it didn’t take long to register.

CopyBet has created an app that works smoothly. We tried adding funds, placing bets, and running through different sports markets without any incident. Navigation was easy, and we could jump back and forth from the CopyBet sportsbook to the “In-Play,” “Tipsters,” and “Racing” tabs within a few swipes of a finger.

If you’re not keen on the betting app for CopyBet, we advise you to at least download it to get your free bets. As mentioned above, the CopyBet welcome offer is only available to punters who sign up with the app. So, remember this before you register for an account if you want CopyBet free bets and sign-up offers – existing customer offers can also be accessed from the app.

We also tried the mobile version of the CopyBet site and found it to be pretty good. Whether it was accessing ongoing promotions or checking our betting history, it worked just as well as the app or desktop version of the site.

CopyBet UK Payment Methods

Deposit methods at CopyBet are limited to debit cards, Neteller, Skrill, Google Wallet, and Apple Pay. However, you cannot withdraw with Google Wallet or Apple Pay. The minimum deposit is £10 across the board with both deposits and withdrawals free of charge.

What is the CopyBet Withdrawal Time Like?

CopyBet withdrawal requests are usually processed within 24 hours but take between 3 to 5 working days to reach accounts. The minimum withdrawal by bank card, Skrill, and Neteller is £1. Many other sites have much higher minimum withdrawal amounts, so this was something of a positive.

However, we would have been more impressed had the site offered us more than three ways of getting our money. We were surprised not to see an option for PayPal, especially with Neteller and Skrill available.

CopyBet uses a closed-loop policy on payments made by bank card. This means you must withdraw back to the same card, so keep that in mind as it could affect the time it takes for you to get your cash. In the case where you can’t withdraw back to the same card, you will need to contact customer support to discuss an alternative way of getting your money.

We aimed to put together an honest CopyBet review that presented both the good and bad aspects of this site. With that in mind, here’s a quick summary of the pros and cons of CopyBet UK.

CopyBet Review – Our Final Verdict

CopyBet is a fun and innovative betting site that offers a unique online gambling experience. The tipster platform allows you to follow pre-match bets from successful gamblers with the stats to back up their status. The sportsbook was the focus of our review of CopyBet, however, and that’s primarily what we came here for.

All in all, the site offers good betting options and a wide range of markets. Odds are competitive with price boosts allowing for more potential profit. The site is hyper-focused on football, however, which might explain why they don’t offer Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG) on UK and Irish horse racing.

It was nice to see the minimum withdrawal at CopyBet was just £1. The app was pretty good, matching the desktop and mobile versions of the site for performance. But in contrast to this, some things let the site down – we can’t skirt around the fact that CopyBet customer support is well below par.

Our final verdict of CopyBet is mostly positive. It’s a very interesting site, albeit one that may need some tweaks before it can match the big brands of the UK betting industry. Why not try them out with some free bets and see what you think?
