Tottenham Hotspur training kit partner is set to be announced as BetMGM for the start of the 2024/25 season.
According to reports by SportBusiness, the Premier League side will partner with the gambling operator after agreeing a multi-year deal.
The Las Vegas-based brand’s logo will appear on the training kits of the men’s first team. They would replace the current sponsor Getir, whose three-year deal is coming to an end.
BetMGM set to become Tottenham Hotspur training kit partner
Getir is concluding their deal with Tottenham after the Turkish-based food delivery service ran into financial difficulties.
They are withdrawing all marketing operations in Europe and the US to refocus on their domestic market. BetMGM is set to become the north Londoner’s second ever training kit partner.
At the time of writing, it has not been confirmed how much the deal is worth. Since entering the UK last year, BetMGM has partnered with Manchester City, Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Premier League Darts and the Jockey Club.
BetMGM will therefore further enhance their name in the Premier League and across other sports as they look to gain a stronghold.
However, from the 2026/27 season, clubs in England’s elite will have to remove gambling logos from the front of matchday shirts.
BetMGM’s chances of sponsoring a front of shirt for a top tier side are therefore extremely limited. However, Aston Villa recently signed a two-year deal with Betano for a reported £20Million per-season deal.
Spurs will continue to be sponsored by AIA up until the end of the 2026/27 campaign. Reports indicate the club will earn £40m a year after extending the original deal.
These figures indicate just how lucrative front of shirt sponsorships can be to Premier League sides. Naturally, BetMGM won’t be paying that much as a training kit provider.
Nonetheless, the gambling firm will still be delighted to have struck deals with two of the Premier League’s ‘top six’ clubs.
