Al-Hilal set to break transfer record with £260m rumoured bid for PSG striker
Kylian Mbappe could soon become the most expensive player if bought for £260million – costing more than the King’s Coronation, according to new research by BettingSites.co.uk.
The 24-year-old World Cup winner has long been rumoured to be holding out for a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid. However, reports have suggested he could be the latest European superstar to join the Saudi league with a potential £260million bid being put to PSG by Al-Hilal.
On top of this, his rumoured wages are said to be hiked to £605million-per-year meaning the Frenchman would be earning €13million/£11.5million per week.
The transfer fee is more than the whole of his former squad Monaco at £247million – and almost four times the amount of the budget raised to make the recent blockbuster movie Oppenheimer.
Here’s a list of the things Al-Hilal could spend their money on:
Inter squad: £255million
UK’s most expensive house: £250million
King Charles’ Coronation – £250million
Monaco squad: £247million
Justin Bieber’s net worth – £200million
Orange Marilyn by Andy Warhol – £195million
Richard Branson’s private island Necker Island: £78million
Oppenheimer budget: £78million
Bugatti Chirons x 100 = £2.3million
Freddos x 882million = 30p
Other potential investments:
Most expensive Island ever bought – Lanai Island, Hawaii – £465million
King Fahd Stadium: £400million
Everton squad: £270million
A BettingSites.co.uk spokesperson said: “The £260million figure rumoured to have been put on the table by Saudi side Al-Hilal for Kylian Mbappe is another example of the firepower sides in the middle east possess to lure the world’s best players away from Europe.
“At such an extortionate amount, the club could spend their money on a range of other things including the whole squad of Champions League runners up Inter Milan or Mbappe’s former squad at Monaco.
“They could even pay for at least another three Oppenheimer sequels after the movie hit screens this weekend.”
